Commercial flights from Panama City’s Albrook airport can be arranged online through Air Panama . The Albrook airport is across town from the Tocumen International Airport (PTY).
There are Air Panama flights between San Jose, Costa Rica to Bocas del Toro on Thursday and Sunday (subject to change).
You will be picked up at the Bocas airport by a member of our staff and taken to an awaiting water-taxi. Enjoy the 15 minute boat ride through the Caribbean mangroves to arrive at Red Frog Beach on Isla Bastimentos.
Getting around Bocas del Toro by water taxi is easier. The resort offers a boat shuttle back and forth to Bocas town (Isla Colon) that runs on a schedule for $7.00 each way per person. Or the front desk can get you a water taxi from a 3rd party most anytime you need with advance notice. Check with the front desk upon arrival for shuttle times to Bocas town.
For the most adventurous, this is a 9 to 12 hour drive from Panama City to Almirante, where you can park in a storage garage, then a 45 minute boat ride to Bocas Town on Isla Colon, then the water taxi to our island resort.
The weather in Bocas averages 27 degrees Centigrade or 82 degrees Fahrenheit year round. The beaches are long with soft, straw colored sand and the water is warm, clear and blue. Bocas Del Toro lies 9 degrees above the equator in the tropical zone.
